Aminah Basha M.A., LPC-AHi! My name is Aminah and I have a Masters in Counseling from Northwestern University. My experience includes work with kids, teens, and adults from diverse backgrounds. My approach in therapy involves developing a deeper understanding of the self, calibrating the intensity of our emotional experiences, and navigating interpersonal relationships. This is guided by the awareness that all of our relationships and life experiences have an impact on our struggles in the present moment.
I strive for a balance of introspective and solution-focused techniques within frameworks such as Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy. Some issues that I work with include anxiety, depression, experiences of trauma, relationship concerns, identity issues, and academic struggles. I believe in the innate human capacity for resilience and growth. I view my role as a therapist to help clients uncover their authentic selves and instill confidence in their ability to navigate life’s challenges. I’m currently accepting new clients in-person and via telehealth! Ages 5+years old. Contact me directly! |
