Erin HooverMy name is Erin Hoover, and I am currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Charleston Southern University. As an intern at Empowered Family, I strive to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where my clients feel heard, understood, and accepted. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults, and I aim to empower individuals to recognize their strengths, develop greater self-awareness, and make meaningful changes that support their personal growth. I am committed to providing ethical, evidence-based care while continuing to grow professionally and tailoring my approach to the unique needs of each client.
My approach to counseling draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Individual Psychology (Adlerian Therapy). I work collaboratively with clients to explore how their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and life experiences shape their current challenges and overall well-being. By identifying unhelpful patterns, building on existing strengths, and developing practical coping skills, I support clients in working toward meaningful and lasting change. |
